My first conference at Callaway was the week 09-11-01. It was a tragic time for America and a tragic time in my life. Through the speakers at that conference and the women I was surrounded with those three days, they were the instruments that God placed in my life to put my life, my marriage and my family back together. After that conference, it was a time that my husband and I were before God on our face, not together, but separately, because we were separated at the time. The miracle part of the story is that we came back together as one in God. I know that it was only through God’s plan that I was at Callaway Gardens that weekend. It was and will be always a special place for me, a place where through God’s Word marriages and relationships can be renewed and repaired. I thank God each day for that conference and I love when I can take myself back to that time when God was so real and so faithful in His word to me. I am thrilled that women will have the opportunity to join together in this conference once again. I challenge everyone to begin praying if you haven’t already that this conference will be better than it ever was.
